Throttle Body: Removal

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a socket hexagon wrench 5, remove the 3 nuts.
    2. Remove the V-bank cover.

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
    2. Disconnect the 3 vacuum hoses.
    3. Remove the fuel vapor feed hose from the 2 hose clamps.
    4. Disconnect the ventilation hose.
    5. Loosen the 2 air cleaner cap bolts.
    6. Loosen the hose clamp bolt and remove the air cleaner cap together with the No. 1 air cleaner hose.
    7. Remove the air cleaner filter element.

  4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the throttle motor connector.

    2. Disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose.
    3. Disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts, the 2 nuts and the throttle body.

    5. Remove the gasket from the intake air connector.
