Fuel Pressure Regulator: Removal

  1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR 
    1. Disconnect the vacuum sensing hose from the pressure regulator.

    2. Disconnect the fuel return hose from the pressure regulator.

      NOTE: Put a cloth or equivalent under the pressure regulator.
    3. Remove the 2 bolts, and pull out the pressure regulator.
    4. Remove the O-ring from the pressure regulator.
