Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Install a new gasket to the sensor.
    2. Install the sensor.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the sensor connector.
  2. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY (see  INSPECTION  ) 
  3. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE (see  INSTALLATION  ) 
  4. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (see  INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  6. PERFORM  INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform INITIALIZATION .
    NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  8. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS 
    1. Check for engine coolant leaks (see REPLACEMENT ).
