Fuel Pump: Installation
- INSTALL FUEL PUMP FILTER
Install the fuel pump filter to the fuel pump.
- INSTALL FUEL PUMP
- Apply a light coat of gasoline to a new O-ring, and install it to the fuel pump.
- Attach the 4 claws to the claw holes and install the fuel pump and fuel pump filter assembly.
- Install the rubber cushion to the fuel pump.
- Connect the fuel hose to the outlet port of the fuel pump.
- Install the fuel pump by pushing the lower side of the fuel pump.
- INSTALL LEAD WIRE
- Install the lead wire to the fuel pump.
- INSTALL FUEL PUMP AND SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY
- Install a new gasket to the fuel suction plate.
- Insert the fuel pump and sender gauge assembly into the fuel tank.
- Install the fuel tank vent tube set plate with the 8 bolts.
Torque: 3.5 N*m (35 kgf*cm, 31 in.*lbf)
- CONNECT FUEL MAIN TUBE AND RETURN TUBE (FUEL TUBE CONNECTORS)
- Before installing the tube connectors, check for foreign matter on the connection between the nylon tube and the suction plate.
- Attach the fuel tube connectors to the ports of the fuel suction plate and insert the clips until you hear a click.
- After the connection, pull the clips to check that they are installed securely.
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- INSTALL REAR FLOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
- Install the service hole cover with the 2 screws.
- Install the front and rear floor carpets.
- INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK COVER
- INSTALL STEP PLATE
- INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
- INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT
- Install the 2 seats.
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
- Perform INITIALIZATION
.NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
