Outer Mirror Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Select "L" on the left/right adjustment switch:
      1. Measure the resistance of the mirror switch.

        Resistance (Left side) 

        TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

        Tester Connection Switch Position Specified Condition
        - OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        4 - 8 6 - 7 UP Below 1 Ω
        4 - 7 6 - 8 DOWN Below 1 Ω
        5 - 8 6 - 7 LEFT Below 1 Ω
        5 - 7 6 - 8 RIGHT Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.

    2. Select "R" on the left/right adjustment switch:
      1. Measure the resistance of the mirror switch.

        Resistance (Right side) 

        TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

        Tester Connection Switch Position Specified Condition
        - OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        3 - 8 6 - 7 UP Below 1 Ω
        3 - 7 6 - 8 DOWN Below 1 Ω
        2 - 8 6 - 7 LEFT Below 1 Ω
        2 - 7 6 - 8 RIGHT Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
