Rear Wheel Alignment: Adjustment

  1. INSPECT TIRES 

    (See INSPECTION )

  2. MEASURE VEHICLE HEIGHT (See  ADJUSTMENT   ) 
  3. INSPECT TOE-IN 

    If the toe-in is not within the specified range, inspect the suspension parts and replace parts if necessary.

    1. Inspect the toe-in.

      Toe-in: USA, Canada

      TOE-IN SPECIFICATION

      Toe-in (total)
      A+B: 0°16' +- 16' (0.26° +- 0.26°)
      C-D: 2.8 +- 2.7 mm (0.11 +- 0.11 in.)

      Toe-in: Mexico 

      TOE-IN SPECIFICATION

      Toe-in (total)
      A+B: 0°13' +- 161 (0.22° +- 0.26°)
      C-D: 2.2 +-2.7 mm (0.09 +- 0.11 in.)
  4. INSPECT CAMBER 
    1. install a camber-caster-king pin gauge or put the wheels on a wheel alignment tester.
    2. Inspect the camber.

      Camber: USA, Canada

      CAMBER SPECIFICATION

      Camber -1°27' +- 30'
      (-1.45° +- 0.5°)
      Right-left error 30'(0.5°) or less

      Camber: Mexico 

      CAMBER SPECIFICATION

      Camber -1°26' +- 30'
      (-1.43° +- 0.5°)
      Right-left error 30'(0.5°) or less

      If the measured value is not within the specified range, inspect the suspension parts for damage and wear. Replace parts as necessary because camber cannot be properly adjusted with any damaged or worn parts.
