Front Speed Sensor: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
  3. REMOVE FRONT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the front speed sensor.
    2. Remove the bolt and harness clamp.
    3. Remove the nut and harness clamp.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 harness clamps.

    5. Disconnect the connector and then remove the bolt, harness clamp and sensor wire.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH 
    1. Using a 5 mm hexagon wrench, remove the bolt and speed sensor from the knuckle.
    NOTE: Pull out the sensor while trying as much as possible not to rotate it.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE RH 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the front speed sensor.
    2. Remove the bolt and harness clamp.
    3. Remove the nut and harness clamp.

    4. Disconnect the connector.
    5. Detach the connector from the skid control sensor clamp.
    6. Remove the bolt and skid control sensor clamp.
    7. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 harness clamps and sensor wire.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR RH 
    1. Using a 5 mm hexagon wrench, remove the bolt and speed sensor from the knuckle.
    NOTE: Pull out the sensor while trying as much as possible not to rotate it.
