Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When replacing the ABS and TRACTION actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (See CALIBRATION ).

INSPECT ABS WARNING LIGHT

WHEN USING TECHSTREAM:

Select the "ABS Warning Light" in the Active Test and operate the ABS warning light by Techstream.

ABS/VSC/TRAC:

ABS/VSC/TRAC ACTIVE TEST REFERENCE

Tester Display	Test Part	Control Range	Diagnostic Note
ABS Warning Light	ABS warning light	Warning light ON/OFF	Observe combination meter

Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the ABS warning light can be shown on the combination meter by Techstream.
OK:

The ABS warning light turns on or off in accordance with Techstream.

WHEN NOT USING TECHSTREAM:

Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the connector from the skid control ECU.

Check the ABS warning light.

ABS WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATION CONDITION

WA - GND Condition	Illumination Condition
Connected	OFF
Disconnected	ON

NG: Go to step 2

OK: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER)

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
C11-8 - S1-29 (WA)	Below 1 Ω

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
S1-29 (WA) - Body ground	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: Go to next step

INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
1. Check combination meter assembly (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).
NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

OK: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
