On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the voltage.
      1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      3. Turn the Techstream ON.
      4. Select the menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT/ Data List / Accelerator Position No. 1 and Accelerator Position No. 2.
      5. Operate the accelerator pedal, then check that of the Accelerator Position No. 1 and Accelerator Position No. 2 values are within the specified values.

        Accelerator Position No. 1 

        ACCELERATOR POSITION NO. 1

        Accelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition
        Released 0.5 to 1.1 V
        Depressed 2.6 to 4.5 V

        Accelerator Position No. 2 

        ACCELERATOR POSITION NO. 2

        Accelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition
        Released 1.2 to 2.0 V
        Depressed 3.4 to 5.0 V

        If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal, wire harness and ECM.
