Crankshaft Position Sensor: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  4. DISCONNECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and crankshaft position sensor.
