Fuel Pressure Regulator: Removal

  1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE  (See REMOVAL  )
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 fuel tube from the pressure regulator (See FUEL SYSTEM  ).
      CAUTION: Put a cloth or equivalent under the pressure regulator.

    2. Disconnect the vacuum sensing hose from the pressure regulator.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts, and pull out the pressure regulator.
    4. Remove the O-ring from the pressure regulator.
