Heated Oxygen Sensor: Removal

CAUTION:
  • The procedures should be performed by at least 2 people.
  • Wear protective gloves when removing the exhaust pipe.
  • The exhaust pipe is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.
  • Confirm that the exhaust pipe has cooled down before removing it.
  1. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (Bank 2 Sensor 2) 
    1. Using SST, remove the sensor.

      SST 09224-00010

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (Bank 1 Sensor 2) 
    1. Using SST, remove the sensor.
