• The anti-lock brake system troubleshooting procedures are based on the premise that the CAN communication system is normally functioning. Check the CAN communication system first before troubleshooting the anti-lock brake system (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
   1. Interview the customer and confirm the problem (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).
3. CHECK DTC AND FREEZE FRAME DATA* 
   1. Check and record DTCs and Freeze Frame Data.
   2. Clear the DTCs and Freeze Frame Data (See for DTC CHECK/CLEAR , and for FREEZE FRAME DATA ).
   3. Reconfirm the DTCs.
      1. Reconfirm the DTCs based on the recorded DTCs and Freeze Frame Data (See for DTC CHECK/CLEAR , and for FREEZE FRAME DATA ).
