DECELERATION SENSOR (for 4WD without VSC): Installation

  1. INSTALL DECELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Connect the connector and clamp to the deceleration sensor.
      NOTE: Make sure that the deceleration sensor connector is connected securely.

    2. Insert the claw on the yaw rate sensor bracket into the deceleration sensor and install the sensor with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Keep foreign matter from adhering to the contact surfaces between the deceleration sensor and body.
      • Do not damage the deceleration sensor.
      • Make sure that the deceleration sensor is installed securely.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    HINT:

    Refer to the instructions for Installation of the front seat assembly (w/o Seatback Board) (See INSTALLATION ).

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  4. CHECK FOR SENSOR SIGNAL 

    (See TEST MODE PROCEDURE  )

  5. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM )
