REAR SPEED SENSOR (for 4WD): Installation

HINT:

Use the same procedure for RH side and LH side except for the step to install the rear sensor clip.
If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the rear drive shaft assembly.

INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR LH (for LH Side)
1. Install the rear speed sensor with bolt C.

  Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf)
  
  NOTE: Keep the rear speed sensor tip and sensor installation hole free of foreign matter.
2. Install the No. 1 sensor clamp with the nut.
  Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
  
  NOTE: Do not twist the rear speed sensor wire when installing the clamp.
3. Install the No. 2 sensor clamp with bolt B.
  Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
  
  NOTE: Do not twist the rear speed sensor wire when installing the clamp.
4. Install the sensor clip LH.
5. Install the No. 3 sensor clamp with bolt A.
  Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
  
  NOTE: Do not twist the rear speed sensor wire when installing the clamp.
6. Insert the connector and grommet to the inside of the vehicle through the passage hole in the wheel well.
  NOTE: Make sure that the grommet's band clamp remains on the outside of the vehicle.
7. Hold the grommet and pull it from the inside of the vehicle to the outside of the vehicle. Then hold it in place so that it is not tilted.
  NOTE: When pulling out the grommet, do not pull on the sensor wire.
8. Connect the rear speed sensor connector.
INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR RH (for RH Side)
1. Install the rear speed sensor with bolt C.

  NOTE: Do not twist the rear speed sensor wire when installing the clamp.
3. Install the No. 2 sensor clamp with bolt B.
  Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
  
  NOTE: Do not twist the rear speed sensor wire when installing the clamp.
4. Install the sensor clip.
5. Install the No. 3 sensor clamp with bolt A.
  Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
  
  NOTE: Do not twist the rear speed sensor wire when installing the clamp.
6. Insert the connector and grommet to the inside of the vehicle through the passage hole in the wheel well.

8. Connect the rear speed sensor connector.
INSTALL FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE PROTECTOR (for LH Side)
1. Install the fuel tank filler pipe protector with the 3 screws.
INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 N*m (1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH (for RH Side) (See INSTALLATION )
