DECELERATION SENSOR (for 4WD without VSC): Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    HINT:

    Refer to the instructions for Removal of the front seat assembly (w/o Seatback Board) (See REMOVAL ).

  3. REMOVE DECELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate sensor bracket with deceleration sensor.

    2. Disconnect the connector and clamp from the deceleration sensor.
      NOTE: Do not remove the installation nuts.
