Heated Oxygen Sensor: Inspection

INSPECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for 4WD)

Check the resistance.
1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

Standard Resistance

RESISTANCE REFERENCE

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
HT - +B	20°C (68°F)	11 to 16 Ω
HT - E	-	10 kΩ or higher

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the heated oxygen sensor.

INSPECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for 2WD)

Check the resistance.
1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

HT - +B	20°C (68°F)	11 to 16 Ω
HT - E	-	10 kΩ or higher

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the heated oxygen sensor.
