Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM 
    1. Check if the engine control system DTC is output (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR for 2AZ-FE, or DTC CHECK / CLEAR for 2ZR-FE).

      Result 

      DTC OUTPUT RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output (for 2AZ-FE) A
      DTC is not output (for 2ZR-FE) B
      DTC is output (for 2AZ-FE) C
      DTC is output (for 2ZR-FE) D

      B: REPLACE ECM (for 2ZR-FE)  (See INSTALLATION )

      C: INSPECT ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM (for 2AZ-FE)  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

      D: INSPECT ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM (for 2ZR-FE)  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

      A: REPLACE ECM (for 2AZ-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
