Front Speed Sensor: Removal

HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- The following procedure is for the LH side.
- If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the front drive outboard joint shaft assembly, (for TMC Made)
- If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the front drive shaft assembly, (for TMMC, NUMMI Made)
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
- REMOVE SIDE MUDGUARD (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR (for TMMC, NUMMI Made)
- Disconnect the front speed sensor connector.
- Remove the front speed sensor wire harness clamp from the body.
- Remove the bolt and the No. 2 sensor clamp from the body.
- Remove the bolt and separate the brake flexible hose.
- Remove the No. 1 sensor clamp from the shock absorber.
- Remove the clamp from the shock absorber.
- Remove the bolt and the front speed sensor.NOTE:
- Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
- Clean the installation hole and the surface for the front speed sensor every time the front speed sensor is removed.
- REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR (for TMC Made)
- Disconnect the front speed sensor connector.
- Remove the front speed sensor wire harness clamp from the body.
- Remove the bolt and the No. 2 sensor clamp from the body.
- Remove the bolt and separate the brake flexible hose.
- Remove the No. 1 sensor clamp from the shock absorber.
- Remove the bolt and the front speed sensor.NOTE:
- Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
- Clean the installation hole and the surface for the front speed sensor every time the front speed sensor is removed.
