Rear Power Window RH Does Not Operate With Rear Power Window Switch RH: Procedure
- CHECK POWER WINDOW SWITCH (POWER SOURCE)
- Disconnect the power window switch (rear RH side) connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition J1-3 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW SWITCH (REAR RH SIDE)
- Remove the power window switch (rear RH side). Refer to REMOVAL .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 (D) - 2 (SD)
3 (B) - 4 (U)UP Below 1 Ω 1 (D) - 2 (SD)
4 (U) - 5 (SU)OFF Below 1 Ω 2 (SD) - 3 (B)

NG → See step 6
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SWITCH (REAR RH) - MOTOR (REAR RH))
- Disconnect the power window regulator motor assembly (rear RH side) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition J1-4 (U) - J3-1 (U) Always Below 1 Ω J1-1 (D) - J3-2 (D) Always Below 1 Ω J1-4 (U) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher J1-1 (D) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (REAR RH SIDE)
- Remove the power window regulator motor assembly (rear RH side). Refer to REMOVAL .
- Check power window regulator motor operation:
- Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
- Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.
OK
Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 1
Battery negative (-) → 2Motor gear rotates counterclockwise Battery positive (+) → 2
Battery negative (-) → 1Motor gear rotates clockwise
- Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
- Check PTC operation:NOTE: This check must be performed with the power window regulator and door glass installed on the vehicle.
- Install the power window regulator motor assembly (rear RH side). Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Connect an electrical tester DC 400 A probe to the wire harness of terminal 1.

NOTE: Match the arrow mark of the probe with the direction of the current flow. - Fully close the door glass by pulling up the power window switch. Wait for approximately 60 seconds.
- Continue to pull up the power window switch and measure how long it takes for the electrical current to change from a range of 16 to 28 A to approximately 1 A (current shut-off inspection).
Standard
4 to 90 seconds
- Wait for 60 seconds after the previous step, and then push down the power window switch (rear RH side).
OK
The rear RH side window goes down.
NG → REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (REAR RH SIDE)
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - SWITCH (REAR RH))
- Disconnect the power window master switch connector.
- Disconnect the power window switch (rear RH side) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition I3-10 (U) - J1-5 (SU) Always Below 1 Ω I3-18 (D) - J1-2 (SD) Always Below 1 Ω I3-10 (U) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher I3-18 (D) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 7
- REPLACE POWER WINDOW SWITCH (REAR RH SIDE). Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH. Refer to REMOVAL
