Customize Parameters

HINT: 

The following items can be customized.

NOTE:
  • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
  • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.
  • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.
  1. POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 
    MAIN BODY

    Tester Display Default Content Setting
    Unlock Key Twice ON Function that unlocks only driver side door when driver side door key cylinder is turned to UNLOCK once, and unlock all doors when it is turned to UNLOCK twice. For OFF setting, turning it once unlocks all doors. ON / OFF
    Auto Lock/Shift* ON Function that locks all doors when shift lever is shifted from P to any other position with engine running and all doors closed ON / OFF
    Auto Unlock/Shift* ON Function that unlocks all doors when shift lever is shifted to P from any other position while the ignition switch is ON ON / OFF
    All Unlock/Open-Close OFF Function that unlocks all doors when opening driver door within 10 seconds after turning the ignition switch is OFF ON / OFF
    Auto Lock OFF Function that locks all doors when vehicle speed reaches a certain level ON / OFF

  2. WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Smart Key System)

    • When the doors are locked by wireless operation, the hazard warning lights flash once.
    • When the doors are unlocked by wireless operation, the hazard warning lights flash twice.

    Wireless Auto Lock ON This function turns the wireless auto lock function on or off. ON / OFF
    Open Door Warning ON The buzzer sounds when LOCK is pressed when any of the doors are ajar. ON/OFF
    Unlock 2 Operation ON Function that unlocks driver side door when unlock switch on transmitter is pressed once, and unlocks all doors when pressed twice. If setting is OFF, pressing unlock switch once makes all doors unlock. ON/OFF
    Panic Function ON Function to operate theft deterrent system by continuously pressing panic switch on transmitter for 0.8 seconds ON/OFF
    Auto Lock Time 60 s This function regulates the interval between unlocking and automatic relocking of doors. 30 s/60 s/120 s
    Wireless Buzzer Resp ON Wireless door lock buzzer response / ON or OFF ON/OFF
    Trunk Lid Operation 0.8PR This function changes operation method of transmitter to open luggage compartment door.
    • 1TIME: Push once
    • 2 TIMES: Push twice
    • 0.8PR: Push and hold for 0.8 seconds
    • OFF: Does not operate
    		 1TIME/2 TIMES/0.8PR/OFF
  3. WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (w/o Smart Key System)

  4. SMART KEY SYSTEM (for Entry Function) 
    SMART KEY/ACCESS (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY))

    Park Wait Time 2.5s Function to set waiting time to permit opening door after door is locked with entry lock function. 0.5s / 1.5s / 2.5s / 5.0s
    Ignition Available Area ALL Function to choose the available area for key to start the engine and cancel the steering lock. FRONT / ALL
    Trunk Open Mode ON Function to open the luggage compartment door when the driver has the key and presses the luggage open button. ON / OFF
    Key Low Battery Warning ON Function to set a warning function for a low battery. ON / OFF
  5. ENTRY UNLOCK MODE SWITCHING FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the power source mode is OFF and the LED on the key is not blinking. Press the LOCK button and one of the other buttons on the key at the same time for approximately 5 seconds while the key is in the actuation area.
      • Driver door unlock default setting:

        When the switches are pressed and held for 5 seconds, the entry door unlock mode changes in the following order: driver door mode, all door mode.

      NOTE:

      After pressing and holding the switches for 5 seconds, wait 5 seconds before performing the same procedure again.

      • Driver door unlock mode:

        When the driver door's touch sensor is touched, only the driver door unlocks. When another touch sensor is touched, all doors unlock.

      • All door unlock mode:

        When the touch sensor is touched, all doors unlock.

    2. The certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) receives this signal from the entry door control receiver and changes the smart key system to the entry unlock mode.
    3. The certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) sounds the wireless door lock buzzer and combination meter buzzer to inform the user that the mode has been switched.

      HINT: 

      The function only changes the entry unlock mode of the smart key system. It does not switch the unlocking of the wireless door lock control.

  6. ELECTRICAL KEY CANCEL 

    The electrical key cancel operation disables the following functions:

    • Entry Unlock / Lock
    • Entry Luggage Compartment Open
    • Key Lock-in Prevention
    • Warning
    1. The operation procedures are as follows:

      Precondition:

      Engine switch off, driver side door closed and unlocked.

      1. Unlock the driver side door once with the UNLOCK switch of the key.
      2. Open the driver door within 5 seconds.
      3. Unlock the driver side door twice with the UNLOCK switch of the key within 5 seconds.
      4. Close and open the driver door twice within 30 seconds.

        (Driver door: Close → Open → Close → Open)

      5. Unlock the driver side door twice with the UNLOCK switch of the key within 5 seconds.
      6. Close and open the driver door within 30 seconds.

        (Driver door: Close → Open)

      7. Close the driver door within 5 seconds.

        When electrical key cancel is activated, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds twice.

        To return to the original condition, perform the procedures again. When the original condition is returned, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds once.

  7. SMART KEY SYSTEM (for Start Function) 
    SMART KEY / ACCESS

  8. THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM 
    SECURITY

    Passive Mode OFF
    • Passive Mode is a function that switches the theft deterrent system from the arming preparation state to the armed state 30 seconds after the key is removed from the key cylinder and all doors and luggage compartment door are closed, even if the doors are not locked by wireless or door key lock operation.
    • In Passive Mode, if the following operations are not performed within 14 seconds after a door is opened during the armed state, the theft deterrent system will judge that condition as a theft and switch to the alarm sounding state.
      • Unlock any door by key or wireless operation
      • Turn the ignition switch to ON
      • Open the luggage compartment door by key or wireless operation
    		 ON/OFF
    Warning by Glass Sen ON Function that turns the glass breakage sensor on/off this function is only effective for vehicles with glass breakage sensor. ON/OFF
    Entry Delay Time 14 s Function that changes entry delay time (time before warning starts) for Passive Mode 0 s/14 s/30 s
  9. LIGHTING SYSTEM 
    ILLUMINATED ENTRY

    Display Default Content Setting
    Lighting Time 15 s Changes the lighting time of the personal light*1, room light and engine switch illumination*2 after closing all of the doors. (It will quickly fade out in case of turning the ignition switch to ON) 7.5 s / 15 s / 30 s
    I/L when ACC OFF ON Lights up the personal light*1, room light and engine switch illumination*2 when the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off. ON / OFF
    I/L ON W/Door Key Unlock*3 ON Lights up the personal light*1, room light and engine switch illumination when the doors are unlocked using mechanical key or door control transmitter. ON / OFF
    • *1: w/ Sliding Roof
    • *2: w/ Smart Key System
    • *2: w/ Power Door Lock Control System
  10. METER/GAUGE SYSTEM 
    COMBINATION METER

    Driver Side Seatbelt Warning Buzzer* On Function to change the setting of the seat belt warning buzzer. On, Off
    Front Passenger Side Seatbelt Warning Buzzer* On Function to change the setting of the seat belt warning buzzer. On, Off
    • *: This setting is only valid for the buzzer which sounds at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more.
  11. AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM (for Automatic Air Conditioning System) 
    AIR CONDITIONER

    Set Temperature Shift NORMAL Function to shift the temperature against the displayed temperature +2 C / +1 C / NORMAL / -1 C / -2 C
    Air Inlet Mode AUTO When turning the A/C ON to make the cabin cool down quickly, this is the function to change the mode automatically to RECIRCULATION mode MANUAL / AUTO
    Compressor Mode AUTO Function to turn the A/C ON automatically by pressing the AUTO button when the blower is ON and the A/C is OFF MANUAL / AUTO
    Compressor/Air Inlet DEF operation LINK Function to turn the A/C ON automatically linked with the FRONT DEF button when the A/C is OFF NORMAL / LINK
    Evaporator Control AUTO Function to set the evaporator control to the coldest position MANUAL / AUTO
    Foot/DEF Auto Mode ON Function to turn the airflow from FOOT / DEF ON automatically when AUTO MODE is ON OFF / ON
    Foot/DEF Automatic Blow Up Function ON Function to change the blower level automatically when the defroster is ON OFF / ON
