Engine Control System (Service Information): ECM: Removal: Removal

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work. Refer to PRECAUTION .

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
  4. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  5. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  6. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
  7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  8. REMOVE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL

  9. SEPARATE INVERTER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the inverter reserve tank assembly.

  10. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Remove the No. 1 relay block cover.
    2. Disconnect the 3 wire connectors.

    3. Disengage the 2 claws, push up the engine room wire harness and separate it from the engine room relay block.

    4. Disengage the 2 claws and push up the side cover to remove it.

    5. Loosen the bolt and separate the No. 2 engine room wire.

    6. Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
      1. Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps.

      2. Push the locks on the 2 levers, then raise the levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
        NOTE:

        After disconnecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the connectors.

    7. Separate the 2 wire harness clamps.

    8. Remove the 2 bolts and ECM.
