On-Vehicle Inspection [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and disconnect the No. 1 integration relay from the engine room junction block.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Protective Tape
    2. Check the IG2 fuse.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        IG2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the IG2 fuse.

    3. Check the IG2 relay.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1J-1 - 1M-8 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1M-2 and 1N-4 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage applied to terminals 1M-2 and 1N-4 Below 1 Ω
        TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

        *a Component without harness connected
        (No. 1 Integration Relay)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 integration relay.

    4. Check the EFI main No. 1 fuse.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        EFI main No. 1 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the EFI main No. 1 fuse.

    5. Check the EFI main No. 1 relay.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1J-1 - 1N-10 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1N-8 and 1N-4 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage applied to terminals 1N-8 and 1N-4 Below 1 Ω
        TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

        *a Component without harness connected
        (No. 1 Integration Relay)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 integration relay.

    6. Check the A/F fuse.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A/F fuse Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the A/F fuse.

    7. Check A/F relay.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1J-1 - 1N-3 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1N-2 and 1N-4 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage applied to terminals 1N-2 and 1N-4 Below 1 Ω

        (No. 1 Integration Relay)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 integration relay.

    8. Check the AIR PMP HTR fuse.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        AIR PMP HTR fuse Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the AIR PMP HTR fuse.

    9. Check AIR PMP HTR relay.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1J-1 - 1K-12 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1K-8 and 1K-11 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1K-8 and 1K-11 Below 1 Ω

        (No. 1 Integration Relay)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 integration relay.

    10. Check the AI VSV fuse.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        AI VSV fuse Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the AI VSV fuse.

    11. Check AI VSV relay.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1J-1 - 1L-2 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1L-1 and 1L-3 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1L-1 and 1L-3 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 integration relay.

    12. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 1 integration relay to the engine room junction block.
  2. INSPECT MAIN BODY ECU (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK) 
    NOTE:

    The ACC relay and IG1 No. 1 relay are built into the main body ECU (driver side junction block).

    1. Inspect the ACC relay.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        (Main Body ECU (Driver side Junction Block))

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2N-50 - 2K-1 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 2N-23 and 2O-1 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage applied to terminals 2N-23 and 2O-1 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the main body ECU (driver side junction block).

    2. Inspect the IG1 No. 1 relay.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2O-32 - 2K-1 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 2N-22 and 2O-1 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage applied to terminals 2N-22 and 2O-1 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the main body ECU (driver side junction block).
