Installation [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install a new gasket and throttle body with motor assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    2. Connect the throttle position sensor and throttle control motor connector.
    3. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose.
    4. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  4. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67

  6. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER COVER (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 68

  7. INSTALL AIR INTAKE DUCT LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 69

  8. INSTALL AIR INTAKE DUCT RH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 70

  9. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER COVER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 71

  10. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT (for 4WD with Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2021 - ]

  11. INSTALL V-BANK COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  12. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 60

  13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    NOTE:
    • Be sure to perform this procedure after reassembling the throttle body or removing and reinstalling any throttle body component.
    • Perform the following procedure after replacing the ECM, throttle body or any throttle body components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle body is cleaned.
    • Be sure to perform this procedure after replacing the ECM and reconnecting the battery cable.
    1. Disconnect the EFI and ETCS fuses at the same time. Wait at least 60 seconds, and then reconnect the fuses.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON without operating the accelerator pedal.
      NOTE:

      If the accelerator pedal is operated, perform the above steps again.

    3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ] ).
    4. Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated and that the idle speed is within the specified range when the A/C is switched off after the engine is warmed up.

      Standard idle speed

      690 to 790 rpm

      NOTE:
      • Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
      • Make sure that the shift lever is in neutral.
    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / All Data / Throttle Sensor Position. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the value is 60% or more.
    6. Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
