DTC U0300-51: Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility Not Programmed; DTC U0300-57: Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility Invalid / Incompatible Software Component [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE CONDITION 
    1. Check vehicle condition.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM) 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      for AWD with NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE BATTERY:

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2022 - ]

      for LITHIUM-ION BATTERY:

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2022 - ]

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      HINT: 

      If the pre-collision system outputs U0300-51 or U0300-57, hybrid control system DTCs may also have been output. Check the hybrid control system first.

      OK

      Hybrid control system DTCs are not output.

    GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM 

    for AWD with NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE BATTERY:

  3. CHECK FOR DTC (HEALTH CHECK) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.
    5. Check for DTCs.

      OK

      ECUs other than the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly do not output specification information mismatch DTCs related to the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly.

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

      • When the specification stored by the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly and the vehicle specification match, a hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly with different specifications may be installed. Therefore, replace the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly.

      • When the specification stored by the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly and the vehicle specification match, an ECM with different specifications may be installed. Therefore, replace the ECM.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

      HINT: 

      If the pre-collision system outputs U0300-51 or U0300-57, SFI system DTCs may also have been output. Check the SFI system first.

      OK

      SFI system DTCs are not output.
