Installation [08/2015 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - ] ).
- Install a new gasket to the intake air surge tank assembly.
- Install the throttle body with motor assembly to the intake air surge tank assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the connector to the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.
- Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE
- Engage the 2 guides to install the air cleaner cap and hose to the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
- Engage the 2 clamp hooks to the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
- Install the air cleaner cap and hose and fasten the 4 hook clamps.
- Connect the air cleaner hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and tighten the hose clamp.
Torque: 4.0 N*m (41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf)
- Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose to the air cleaner hose and slide the hose clip to secure it.
- Engage the 2 clamps to install the wire harness.
- Connect the connector to the mass air flow meter.
- ADD ENGINE COOLANT

- INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [08/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [11/2017 - ]
- INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Torque: 30 N*m (306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf)
- INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Off Road Package)
Torque: 30 N*m (306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf)
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION NOTE:
Perform the following procedure after replacing or removing and installing the ECM, throttle body with motor assembly or any throttle body with motor assembly components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle body with motor assembly is cleaned.
- Disconnect the EFI No. 1 and ETCS fuses at the same time. Wait at least 60 seconds, and then reconnect the fuses.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON without operating the accelerator pedal.NOTE:
If the accelerator pedal is operated, perform the above steps again.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - ] ).
- Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated and that the idle speed is within the specified range when the A/C is switched off after the engine is warmed up.
Standard Idling Speed
Transmission Idling Speed Manual Transmission 500 to 600 rpm
(With the shift lever in neutral)Automatic Transmission 550 to 650 rpm
(With the shift lever in N)NOTE:Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Throttle Position Sensor No. 1 Voltage %.
- Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the value is 60% or more.
- Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
