Installation [02/2024 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY (for Exhaust Side)
- When reusing the cam timing oil control solenoid, clean the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid, then install a new O-ring.NOTE:
Make sure the O-ring groove is free of foreign matter.
- Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring.
- Install the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly with 2 new bolts.
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
NOTE:- Check if the O-ring is cracked and moved out of the groove.
- If the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Connect the connector.
- Attach the wire harness.
- When reusing the cam timing oil control solenoid, clean the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid, then install a new O-ring.
- INSTALL CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY (for Intake Side)
- When reusing the cam timing oil control solenoid, clean the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid, then install a new O-ring.NOTE:
Make sure the O-ring groove is free of foreign matter.
- Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring.
- Install the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly with 2 new bolts.
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

- If the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Connect the connector.
- When reusing the cam timing oil control solenoid, clean the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid, then install a new O-ring.
- INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK
