On-Vehicle Inspection [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. OPERATION CHECK 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Remove the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

    2. Disconnect the vacuum hose and connect a vacuum gauge.

    3. Warm up the engine.

      Procedure1

    4. Allow the engine to idle and check the negative pressure.

      Standard Negative Pressure (Absolute Pressure)

      Specified Condition
      More than 86.7 kPa
      More than 650 mmHg
      More than 25.6 in.Hg

      Post-procedure1

    5. If the result is not as specified, disassemble and inspect the vacuum pump assembly.
    6. After assembling or replacing the vacuum pump assembly, recheck the negative pressure.
    7. Remove the vacuum gauge and reconnect the vacuum hose.
    8. Install the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.
