Body Control Module Removal And Installation/Replacement

Mobile Repair Possible:  No

Removal Procedure: 

1. Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
2. Remove passenger footwell plastic cover. Refer to PASSENGER FOOTWELL PLASTIC COVER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

3. Unlock and disconnect the 5 electrical connectors (1).
4. Disconnect the wiring harness from the marked area (2).

5. Remove the 4 nuts (1).

   Torque: 6 Nm 

6. Remove body control module (2).

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

   All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

2. Install passenger footwell plastic cover. Refer to PASSENGER FOOTWELL PLASTIC COVER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
4. Diagnostics, Programming and Setup. Refer to DIAGNOSTICS, PROGRAMMING AND SETUP USING SCAN TOOL IN SERVICE
