Rear Side Door Window Removal And Installation/Replacement

Removal Procedure: 

The procedure for the left-hand component is identical to that for the right-hand side. 

1. Remove Rear Side Water Deflector. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
2. Remove the Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW INNER SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT
3. Remove the Rear Side Door C-Pillar Trim. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
4. Remove the Rear Side Door Window Channel. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW CHANNEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

   WARNING: Crushing by moving parts 
   Failure to follow specified procedures may result in death or serious injury due to movement of the window regulator.

   • Secure the component against uncontrolled movement.
   • Always use personal protective equipment (PPE)
   • Ensure vehicle is correctly disabled/powered down to prevent unexpected motion or activation of components.
5. Position the rear side door window regulator (1) in a way that the bolt of the door window is accessible through the opening (2).

6. Secure the door window pane against falling down.
7. Remove 2 bolts (1).

   Torque: 8 Nm

8. Lower the rear side door window (1) slightly and remove it from the window frame sealing. Remove the rear door window pane (1) by lifting it upwards.
   NOTE: Damage 
   Risk of damage to vehicle paint work.

   • Mask off/protect paint work appropriately to avoid damage.

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

   All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

2. Install the Rear Side Door C-Pillar Trim. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Install the Rear Side Door Window Channel. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW CHANNEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
4. Install Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW INNER SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT
5. Install Sear Side Water Deflector. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
