- Perform High Voltage isolation procedure prior to commencing work
- Ensure appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is worn until the system is verified safe

- Do not commence work until components/liquids have sufficiently cooled down.
- Always use personal protective equipment (PPE).
NOTE:
Contamination
Contamination or moisture entering the cooling system can lead to malfunction or functional failure.

- The vehicle cooling system and any removed components should be capped/sealed during work to prevent contamination entry
Removal Procedure:
- Disable HV-System. Refer to HV-SYSTEM DISABLING/ENABLING
- Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
- Remove front trunk. Refer to FRONT TRUNK REPLACEMENT
- Remove 6 bolts (1) and unthread the holder at the top.
Torque: 8 Nm
- Remove 2 bolts (1).
Torque: 29.5 Nm
- Remove 2 bolts (2).
Torque: 8 Nm
- Disconnect electrical connector (1) from the redundancy control unit.
- Remove front brake pipe (1).
- Remove 3 bolts (2) and remove the bracket with the redundancy control unit attached
Torque: 20 Nm
Replacement Procedure:
- Fit the holder (1) for the brake pipe to the new bracket.
- Fit the 3 bushes to the new bracket.
- Installed the redundancy control unit into the new bracket
- Installed the 3 screws (2) to secure the redundancy control unit to the new bracket.
Torque: 11 Nm
Installation Procedure:
- Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.
All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification!
- Install front trunk. Refer to FRONT TRUNK REPLACEMENT
- Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
- Enable HV-System. Refer to HV-SYSTEM DISABLING/ENABLING
- Diagnostics, Programming and Setup. Refer to DIAGNOSTICS, PROGRAMMING AND SETUP USING SCAN TOOL IN SERVICE
