Front Fender Removal And Installation/Replacement
Mobile Repair Possible: No
Removal Procedure:
- Disconnect the 12V Battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
- Remove front wheelhouse liner. Refer to FRONT WHEELHOUSE LINER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Remove front bumper fascia guide. Refer to FRONT BUMPER FASCIA GUIDE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Unclip the emergency cable (1) from the retaining clip (2).
- Open front door to access the bolts (1).
- Remove 5 bolts (1).
Torque: 8 Nm
- Remove 2 bolts (1).
Torque: 8 Nm
- Remove the 2 expanding rivets (1).
- Remove the extension cover (2).
- Remove 4 bolts (1).
Torque: 8 Nm
Front Fender driver side:
- Unlock and disconnect 3 electrical connectors (1).
- Remove the front fender (1).NOTE: Damage
Risk of damage to vehicle paint work.- Mask off/protect paint work appropriately to avoid damage.
Replacement Procedure:
Front fender driver side:
- Rebuild charge port lid. Refer to CHARGE PORT LID REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Rebuild charge port housing. Refer to CHARGE PORT HOUSING REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
Installation Procedure:
- Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.
All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification!
- Install front bumper cover guide. Refer to FRONT BUMPER FASCIA GUIDE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Install front wheelhouse liner. Refer to FRONT WHEELHOUSE LINER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Reconnect the 12V Battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
