ASU Gateway Module Removal And Installation/Replacement

Removal Procedure: 

  1. Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
  2. Remove C-Pillar lower trim panel on passenger side. Refer to C-PILLAR LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

  3. Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector (1).
  4. Remove 4 nuts (2).

    Torque: 8 Nm 

  5. Remove the ASU Gateway module (3).

Installation Procedure: 

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

    All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

  2. Install C-Pillar lower trim panel on passenger side. Refer to C-PILLAR LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  3. Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
  4. Diagnostics, Programming and Setup. Refer to DIAGNOSTICS, PROGRAMMING AND SETUP USING SCAN TOOL IN SERVICE
