Gateway Module Removal And Installation/Replacement

HVAC-Unit 

Removal Procedure: 

1. Disconnect the 12V Battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
2. Remove Passenger Knee Airbag Module. Refer to PASSENGER KNEE AIRBAG MODULE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

3. Remove screw (1).

   Torque: 5 Nm 

4. Remove footwell outlet (2) in arrow direction.

5. Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector (1).

6. Remove 2 screws (1).

   Torque: 5 Nm 

7. Remove Gateway Module downwards.

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

   All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

2. Install Passenger Knee Airbag Module. Refer to PASSENGER KNEE AIRBAG MODULE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
4. Diagnostics, Programming and Setup. Refer to DIAGNOSTICS, PROGRAMMING AND SETUP USING IDS IN SERVICE
