Power Liftgate Module Removal And Installation/Replacement

Removal Procedure: 

1. Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
2. Remove D-pillar upper trim panel. Refer to D-PILLAR UPPER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Remove Right C-pillar lower trim panel. Refer to C-PILLAR LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

4. Remove 2 nuts (1).

   Torque: 8 Nm 

5. Unlock and disconnect both electrical connectors (1).
6. Remove power liftgate module (1).

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

   All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

2. Install Right C-pillar lower trim panel. Refer to C-PILLAR LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Install D-pillar upper trim panel. Refer to D-PILLAR UPPER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
4. Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
5. Diagnostics, Programming and Setup. Refer to DIAGNOSTICS, PROGRAMMING AND SETUP USING IDS IN SERVICE
