Trailer Module Removal And Installation/Replacement

Removal Procedure: 

1. Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
2. Remove C-pillar lower trim panel. Refer to C-PILLAR LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Remove Subwoofer. Refer to SUBWOOFER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

4. Disconnect the electrical connections (1) and hang them to the side.

5. Remove 4 nuts (1) and lift out the holder with the control units.

   Torque: 6 Nm

6. Remove 3 nuts (1) and solve the trailer module.

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

   All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

2. Install Subwoofer. Refer to SUBWOOFER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Install C-pillar lower trim panel. Refer to C-PILLAR LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
4. Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
5. Diagnostics, Programming and Setup. Refer to DIAGNOSTICS, PROGRAMMING AND SETUP USING IDS IN SERVICE
