Front Side Door Window Removal And Installation/Replacement

Removal Procedure: 

The procedure for the left-hand component is identical to that for the right-hand side. 

1. Remove front side door water deflector. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
2. Remove front side door window inner sealing strip. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR WINDOW INNER SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT
   WARNING: Crushing by moving parts
   Failure to follow specified procedures may result in death or serious injury due to movement of the window regulator.

   • Secure the component against uncontrolled movement.
   • Always use personal protective equipment (PPE)
   • Ensure vehicle is correctly disabled/powered down to prevent unexpected motion or activation of components.
3. Position the front side door window regulator (1) in a way that the bolt of the door window is accessible through the opening (2).
4. Secure the door window pane against falling down.
5. Remove 2 bolts (1).

   Torque: 8 Nm

6. Angle the front side door window (1) outward and remove it from the door by lifting it upward.
   NOTE: Risk of damage when removing components
   Failure to follow specified procedures may result in damage to body work or vehicle paint work.

   • Body sheets remaining on the vehicle must not be damaged or deformed.
   • Painted surfaces must be masked off/protected appropriately.

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following. All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 
2. Install front side door window inner sealing strip. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR WINDOW INNER SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT
3. Install front side door water deflector. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
