Rear Side Door Window Removal And Installation/Replacement

Removal Procedure:
The procedure for the left-hand component is identical to that for the right-hand side.
- Remove rear side water deflector. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Remove rear side door window inner sealing strip. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW INNER SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT
- Remove rear side door C-pillar trim. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENTWARNING: Crushing by moving parts
Failure to follow specified procedures may result in death or serious injury due to movement of the window regulator.- Secure the component against uncontrolled movement.
- Always use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ensure vehicle is correctly disabled/powered down to prevent unexpected motion or activation of components.
- Position the rear side door window regulator (1) in a way that the bolts of the door window is accessible through the opening.
- Secure the door window pane against falling down.
- Remove 2 bolts (1).
Torque: 8 Nm
- Angle the rear side door window (1) outward and remove it from the door by lifting it upward.NOTE: Risk of damage when removing components
Failure to follow specified procedures may result in damage to body work or vehicle paint work.- Body sheets remaining on the vehicle must not be damaged or deformed.
- Painted surfaces must be masked off/protected appropriately.
Installation Procedure:
- Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following. All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification!
- Install rear side door C-pillar trim. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Install rear side door window inner sealing strip. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW INNER SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT
- Install rear side water deflector. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR WATER DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
