Underbody Thrust Panel Removal And Installation/Replacement

Removal Procedure:
Driving without thrust panel is not permissible. There are two types of thrust panel.
- Lifting the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE
Type A
- Remove both expanding rivets (1).
- Remove and discard the 4-torque prevailing bolt (2).
Replace with new only
Torque: 250 Nm
- Remove and discard the 10-torque prevailing bolts (3).
Replace with new only
Torque: 65 Nm
- Remove and discard the 2-torque prevailing bolts (4).
Replace with new only
Torque: 65 Nm
- Remove thrust panel (1)
Type B
- Remove both expanding rivets (1).
- Remove and discard the 5-torque prevailing bolt (2).
Replace with new only
Torque: 250 Nm
- Remove and discard the 12-torque prevailing bolts (3).
Replace with new only
Torque: 65 Nm
- Remove and discard the 2-torque prevailing bolts (4).
Replace with new only
Torque: 65 Nm
- Remove thrust panel (1)

- Fasteners highlighted as torque prevailing must be discarded and not re-used
- Replace with new Bolts only.
- Installation is reverse of removal procedure, noting the following
All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification
