Underbody Thrust Panel Removal And Installation/Replacement

Mobile Repair Possible:  No

Removal Procedure: 

Driving without thrust panel is not permissible. There are two types of thrust panel. 

1. Lifting the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE

   Type A 

2. Remove both expanding rivets (1).
3. Remove and discard the 4-torque prevailing bolt (2).

   Replace with new only 

   Torque: 250 Nm 

4. Remove and discard the 10-torque prevailing bolts (3).

   Replace with new only 

   Torque: 65 Nm 

5. Remove and discard the 2-torque prevailing bolts (4).

   Replace with new only 

   Torque: 65 Nm

6. Remove thrust panel (1)

   Type B 

7. Remove both expanding rivets (1).
8. Remove and discard the 5-torque prevailing bolt (2).

   Replace with new only 

   Torque: 250 Nm 

9. Remove and discard the 12-torque prevailing bolts (3).

   Replace with new only 

   Torque: 65 Nm 

10. Remove and discard the 2-torque prevailing bolts (4).

    Replace with new only 

    Torque: 65 Nm

11. Remove thrust panel (1)

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is reverse of removal procedure, noting the following

   All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification
