By following consistent steps for each situation, as shown in this and other service information will ensure an efficient and effective strategy for resolution of customer concerns and ensure that appropriate feedback to VinFast can be provided to aid in additional support and eliminating failures in the future. In summary the strategy of the checklist involves the following activities:
- Background Checks
- Vehicle System Checks
- Diagnostic Trouble Code Repair Sequence
- Repair Verification
Although the steps of the diagnostic process are listed in priority, you may not be required to complete every step in order to successfully diagnose a customer concern. The first step of your diagnostic process should always be investigating the customer's concern. The final step of your diagnostic process should be to verify the repair actions have been successful. Never clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's) unless instructed to do so by a DTC repair instruction.
In order to receive effective support from VinFast Technical Support and Quality departments for any concern that cannot be resolved, technicians may be asked to provide the completed checklist and diagnostic report generated during this process.
