VOLKSWAGEN Engine Modification: Description: Carburetor

A Solex downdraft carburetor with automatic choke, accelerator pump and double vacuum drilling are used on Type I, II & 14 models. In addition, 1971-73 models have a by-pass air drilling and a by-pass air cut-off valve.
