Oxygen Sensor

Oxygen sensor is located in exhaust manifold. Sensor must be replaced every 30,000 miles. Maintenance reminder light will come on at this time. Threads of new sensor must be coated with anti-seize compound before installation. Do not get compound in ports of oxygen sensor.

After service or replacement is performed, reset reminder light. Remove 6 instrument housing trim-to-dashboard screws and remove trim piece. Using small hooked rod about 6" long, reach through opening in upper left of instrument panel.

Gently pull right lever toward steering wheel to reset oxygen sensor system reminder light. Reinstall dash trim piece. Start vehicle and make sure light is out.
