Control Pressure Test (Cold Engine)
- Testing must be done on cold engine. Unplug electrical connectors at auxiliary air valve and control pressure regulator. Place valve on pressure gauge in open position and operate fuel pump. Check control pressure.
- Reading should fall in shaded area of graph. Check ambient air temperature and read correct area of graph. See Fig 1 . If control pressure is not correct, retest with new control pressure regulator. Control pressure regulator cannot be adjusted.
NOTE:
Some control pressure regulators have atmospheric pressure compensation. If so, fuel pressures will vary depending upon barometric pressure.
