Ignition Coil Resistance Check
- Using ohmmeter, check ignition coil primary and secondary resistance. Disconnect coil primary and secondary ignition leads. Connect ohmmeter leads across primary terminals No. 1 and 15 at coil. Note primary resistance value.
- Move ohmmeter lead from positive terminal (No. 15) and insert into coil high voltage tower. Note secondary resistance value. If resistance values are not to specification, replace ignition coil.
