⁽¹⁾	Manufacturer recommends using Scan Tool (VAG 1551/1552) when checking ignition timing with radiator cooling fan, A/C and all accessories turned off.

⁽²⁾	Ignition timing is nonadjustable and ignition timing specification is not available from manufacturer.

Specification should be displayed in display field No. 3 on scan tool with engine at 650-750 RPM and display field No. 4 on scan tool should display a maximum of plus or minus 2 degrees from reading in display field No. 3 with engine at 650-750 RPM. Timing is not adjustable, specifications are for checking ignition timing only.

⁽⁴⁾	Specification should be displayed in display field No. 3 on scan tool with engine at 650-6000 RPM and display field No. 4 on scan tool should display 0-40 degrees with engine at 650-6000 RPM. Timing is not adjustable, specifications are for checking ignition timing only.
