Fuel Systems: Notes
WARNING:
On some models fuel pump is activated by door contact switch. Always remove fuel pump fuse before opening fuel system. See ENGINE PERFORMANCE in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article in ELECTRICAL. DO NOT reconnect ignition coil output stage wiring harness and fuel pump fuse, until fuel pressure gauge has been installed and all fuel pressure gauge fittings/hose have been tightened or necessary repairs have been performed.
WARNING:
ALWAYS release fuel pressure before disconnecting fuel injection-related component. DO NOT allow fuel to contact engine or electrical components.
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, radio will go into anti-theft protection mode. Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from owner prior to servicing vehicle.
