SERVICE INFORMATION

2009> EOS, Jetta, Golf, GTI, Rabbit, Tiguan - Fault Code 00003 005 Set in ABS After Module Replacement

A basic setting fault code of 00003 005 may set after replacing the ABS module on 2009 and up vehicles with long coded ABS module (Mark 60EC). Run basic settings on the intake and disconnect valves of the ABS unit using the test plan in GFF Test Plan/Select Self Test.

It may be necessary to select the vehicle as a 2009 GTI for the correct test plan to be available. The test will not run if the module is over 80°F. It is recommended the hood be open and a fan be placed over the module before running the test.

The test will show a set of values and a display in the center of those values. Depress the brake pedal until the display is in between the set values and hold for 2-3 seconds. The value will then change to the next set of values to meet. The test may take up to 30 minutes to complete and some values will be over 100 bar. It is recommended the engine should be running.

NOTE: Do not run this test plan if the fault code 00003 005 is not present.
