Selector Lever Cable, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Insert the selector lever cable in the gearshift housing, so that the offset -A- point in the direction of the eye -arrow-.

The retainer -B- is located in the gearshift housing.

-- Turn the selector lever cable with light pressure in the direction of the -arrow- until the offset -A- contacts the retainer -B-.

-- Press the selector lever cable on the selector mechanism ball head (illustrated here on a different selector mechanism).

This can be performed carefully for example with a hex socket wrench 8 mm in the direction of the -arrow-.

-- Install the selector lever cable at the same time with the selector mechanism. Refer to SHIFT MECHANISM WITH SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING AND ADJUSTING .

-- Install the center console. Refer to OVERVIEW - CENTER CONSOLE .

-- Install the selector lever handle. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Check the selector mechanism. Refer to GEARSHIFT MECHANISM, CHECKING .
