03 Body Assembly: Tailgate

The tailgate is attached to the body with single-pivot hinges. These hinges can be adjusted through the large screw holes.

The tailgate trims are interlocked. To remove the trim, remove both side window trims first, then remove the tailgate trim.

Depending on the vehicle equipment, a reverse camera can be installed into the VW badge. This VW badge also functions as an unlocking element. A water drain hose routes water away from the unlocking element.

The rear spoiler is integrated into the outer panel of the tailgate.
