Power Window Regulators, Checking Position

WARNING:

After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, force limitation of the power window regulators will not function. This can cause serious injuries if, for example, fingers are caught in the window!

After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, the power window one-touch up/down function does not work.

Before delivering a new vehicle, the window regulators must be positioned. The vehicle battery must not be disconnected after positioning.

The following procedure description is for the left front window.

Perform the following to position the power window regulator:

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Close all doors and windows completely.

-- Pull the window regulator button upward.

-- Hold the button for at least one second in this position.

-- Release the button and then pull it upward again and hold it.

-- Switch off the ignition.

The one-touch up/down function is now ready to be used.

The other window regulators are positioned the same way by pressing the respective switch in the driver door.

NOTE:

Restoring the position of the window regulator can be done individually, or several of them can be done at the same time.
